Personal Service
My name's Don & I run PenicuikGardener.com (formerly Plantsman Horticultural Services).
I've been running my gardening services business in Penicuik since 2003 & have built up a loyal clientele. When you make contact you'll be speaking with me. I carry out all the work myself so you'll receive a personalised & friendly one-to-one service.
I enjoy building lasting, friendly & trusted relationships with my clients.

Qualifications & experience
I'm a former student of The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, qualifying with an 'HND in Horticulture with Plantsmanship'. I've have also studied at the Scottish Agricultural College & Oatridge Horticultural College.
I first started gardening as a child when I talked my parents into giving me responsibility to look after & design a section of their garden. My grandparents on both sides were very keen gardeners so I guess it runs in the family.
As for work experience I've worked in several garden centres, an interior landscaping company as well as The University of Edinburgh Landscape Section.
All these combined have given me a good amount of knowledge & experience over the years so you can rest assured I know what I'm doing.

Equipment
I believe it's important to have the best tools & machines for the job. This allows me to get things done efficiently & to a high quality standard. My machines are self-powered so I will not need to use your electricity.
Pricing
I offer fair, competitive & transparent pricing. For regular garden maintenance I often offer a fixed rate so you know exactly how much you'll be paying. For jobs requiring varying amounts of time I base this on a competitive hourly rate.
